Grow an avocado tree at home!

1. Peel your avocado pit
After enjoying your best avocado toast, scoop out the pit, wash it, and remove its thin brown skin.

2. Prepare him for swimming
Place it in a paper towel, moisten it well, and put it in an airtight bag or container.

3. Give him some time
Leave it in the dark for approximately 4 weeks
As soon as your pit has split open and a small root appears, it means it's ready for a swim!

4. Put his lifebuoy on him... and into the water!
Fill a glass, vase, or other container with water. Place the pit on its float, with the root fully submerged. #poolparty

5. Watch your avocado tree grow
Be patient, a stem will grow quickly and leaves will appear! Once you have several leaves and roots, you can repot it in soil.
